Focus and Scope

Journal of Literary Aesthetics and Political Discourse is an international peer-reviewed open access journal that publishes research on all aspects of literature and political discourse. It publishes two issues per year in June and December every year. The journal aims to serve as a platform to promote scholarship of literature and political discourse in the East and the West and encourage the exchange of ideas and information.

Journal of Literary Aesthetics and Political Discourse accepts research articles, book reviews, and interviews on the following topics Literary aesthetics, Literary criticism, Political literature, Political discourse analysis, Literary and critical theory, Postcolonial literatures, Comparative literature, Gender and literature, Cultural discourse analysis, Media studies, Cultural studies, Ethnic & traditional cultures, Comparative Literature, Media & communication, Multiculturalism, inter- & trans-culturalism, Regional cultural studies, Cultural policy, Discourse analysis and pragmatics, World literature, Gender and feminist Studies, Language, Power, and Society, Philosophy and ethics studies…etc.

JLAPD publishes original contributions in the field of literature and political discourse. The journal operates on a double anonymized peer review policy.

Peer Review Process

  1. Authors will be notified upon receipt of a submitted manuscript.
  2. The editors will conduct an initial review of the manuscript before sending it to an independent review panel. A typical initial review will occur within four weeks of receipt of a manuscript.
  3. The panel of reviewers are scholars in the research paradigm or discipline and are selected by recommendation based on their respective expertise with regard to social media. Authors’ identities will be confidential and not divulged to the reviewers.
  4. Critical Reviewer analysis of the manuscript with suggestions/feedback will be provided to the authors, regardless of whether the manuscript is accepted for publication. This process can take anywhere from four weeks to three months.
  5. When both reviews are returned, the editor will evaluate the decisions recommended by the reviewers. The editor will make the final decision on manuscripts.
  6. The editor will respond to manuscript author with a decision email plus the anonymous review sheets.
  7. The editorial team will copy-edit the manuscript, also checking graphics and tables to see if the resolution will work. Authors will see a proof prior to publication.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
